Code Violation

Code Enforcement is tasked with the enforcement of the City of DeLand Code of Ordinances pertaining to properties within its jurisdiction. This includes:

Building maintenance
Property maintenance
Lot maintenance
Business tax receipts
Building permits

As of July 1, 2021, per Senate Bill 60, Code Officers are not allowed to initiate investigations based on anonymous complaints. A person who reports a potential violation must provide their name and address. This is found in the Committee Substitute Senate Bill 60 (PDF) document.

Code Enforcement does not handle noise or overnight on-street parking complaints. Please contact the Police Department at 386-626-7400 for further assistance.
